The evergreen popularity of historic Bath is hitting new heights at VisitEngland’s national Awards for Excellence. Why so? Because two Bath hotels have been shortlisted as the best of Britain. So, whatever the outcome on 8th June at the Library of Birmingham, gigantic congratulations for getting this far go to –
· Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa – Finalists in the ‘Large Hotel of the Year’ category
· No.15 by Guesthouse – Finalists in the ‘Short Hotel of the Year’ category
Bath is, of course, a longstanding no-brainer as a standalone domestic conference and event destination. In addition, it’s been a surefire champion for many years amongst inbound delegates, and also for partner and social programmes for London or other southern events.
But the city isn’t sitting on its laurels. A Hampton by Hilton added a further 212 bedrooms to Bath’s bedroom stock this spring. And a forthcoming luxury hotel and spa on the site of the old Royal Mineral Water Hospital, courtesy of Fragrance Hotels, will further augment Bath’s business tourism proposition.
